About Me

Toronto based musician Willis Bote is in demand as a conductor, vocal coach and teacher. Mr. Bote holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan. Previous to his studies abroad, Mr. Bote received a Bachelor of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto and an Honors Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Western Ontario where he studied with Dr. Gerald Neufeld, Dr. Victoria Meredith and Prof. Torin Chiles. Mr. Bote currently teaches at Windfields Junior High School in Toronto where he leads a thriving middle school strings program.  Prior to his appointment at Windfields, he was an occasional teacher with the Peel and Halton District School boards and acts as assistant conductor and vocal coach for the Scarborough Bach Children’s Chorus. He is most thankful to the administrators at Windfields, Mrs. Adam and all the talented students at Windfields for allowing him to share his passion for music making.
